I really love etsy, and have gotten some a.maz.ing things from them, both vintage and handmade, and have introduced a lot of people to its wonderfulness, but I am getting kind of frustrated at wading through sellers whose creativity stops at owning a sewing machine that came with monogram embroidery settings and feeling the need to google “<seller’s name> reseller” to make sure I’m actually giving my money to an artist.

I don’t care about etsy as a community; I just want to buy awesome stuff from the people who made it. Or, awesome legitimately vintage stuff from the people who found it.
